Still love my older Ironheart 60. Great Amp.

Sounds small.sounds good, but small. Has that little amp sound. It would sound better with cab plugged in.

I support Laney because they haven't been bought out by venture capital or the CCP. I support Aurora DSP because their products are fantastic reproductions and great value. Rock On guys! Best Regards and Best Wishes!

Saw Guthrie live last year. He used an FM9 with 2x12s Laney frfrs, and sounded great. At the end of the their last song, which was Get it like that, he does those power chord transitions with heavy distortion and oh my! all I could do was stare in awe at the cabs and the PA on the venue. It was a mighty and wrathful thunderous roar coming out of those speakers. I could not believe how furious and crisp it sounded. I was overwhelmed with wonder. What my mind thought it was hearing was a large wall of 4x12 cabs and heads all lined up, but NO, it was just that little floor unit, an impulsive response, 2 2x12 frfrs and a rather small pa system. Just speechless. When asked what I enjoyed the most of the show, it was that moment.

What I've been looking for in a review for this amp. Was wondering if it could do nice cleans, and now I see it can. Others just s6ay with the gain 100%. Ordering mine tomorrow

These amps are glorious when you turn them up to the sweet spot. The harmonic overtones and sustain are nuts. Only drawback is they are so damn loud.

It's a brilliant amp, sounds amazing for both guitar and vocals. Only gripe there is no handle which makes it quite a pain to carry the amp a distance without some sort of dolly truck or car

Vernon Reid is so awesome! He has been a huge influence for me as a guitar player. I got to see Living Colour live with Guns N Roses and the Rolling Stones in LA when I was just starting to play guitar and got to see them again in 2019 and in 2024. They are always amazing. It is so cool to see him playing that old yin yang guitar still. When I saw them in 2019 Vernon was using a Mesa/Boogie and a Twin Reverb and every time he switched to the boogie his tone got lost in the mix. When I saw them in 2024 he was using the Laney amps and they sounded great on every song, every tone.

Hey Laney. Seriously looking at getting the Lionheart one, but nowhere near me to try one. If you put a clean/midhump boost before it or in the fx loop, do you still get the same massive volume push for solos that you get with a valve amp?and does it really take OD and Dist pedals well. I currenly use either my original Cub12r or VH100r live, set to clean with a pedal board, so need to know this would be a good replacement without having much comprimise.

How big a venue can I use this AH 80 model?

I put a Cele G12H-75 Creamback in mine, and it really opened up the amp. The V-Type was ok, but there was a harsh frequency that always bothered me. The Creamback lost that frequency and added more bottom end and clarity.

this dude is just the best. Literally my favorite guitar player. I've borrowed adn stolen so much from him. and he's a cool dude too. after almost 40 yeasr of listening to him and seeing Living COlour shows, I finally got to see him at a venue that was small enough where I was able to say hello and shake the man's hand and tell him how important and inspirational h has been to me as a musician. He was very nice and genuine and kind.

Please tell me, does this system play backing tracks well?

I feel like the 1st Gen Laney Cub 10 I have is a better amp. It's 10 watts instead of 6 watts. And has two 6V6 power tubes instead of the single EL84 in the new one. I've put a Jensen speaker in mine and it sounds very similar to the early vintage brownface Fender amps.

I just purchased the LF60-112 but I'm not considering if I should have purchased the LFSUPER60-112 instead because it's a bigger size but my question is; is the sound of the LFSUPER60-112 "bigger" when it comes to tonality (more low or high end) in comparison to the LF60-112? I'm considering swapping it to get the bigger one but if there is really not much tonal difference, I would rather save myself the hassle of returning it. Hope to hear back from you guys (Laney) soon :)
